You Know You are Having a New Hampshire Christmas When. . .
1. "Santa" is pronounced "SAN-ter."
2. You use political campaign buttons--as Christmas ornaments.
3. Traditional holiday food includes pork pie, and anything you can put maple syrup on.
4. Your Christmas cards are purchased sales-tax free, and are hand-stamped with a "Bethlehem" postmark.
5. The seven junk cars in the yard across the street almost look O.K. trimmed with twinkling lights.
6. Santa Claus sounds suspiciously like Fritz Wetherbee.
7. You can take an Inn to Inn Cookie Tour one night, and a sleigh ride the next.
8. The most difficult part of planning for holiday parties is to find the right pair of snowboots to match your outfit.
9. Your holiday travel consists mostly of trips to the wood pile.
10. Some fool Santa-wannabe wakeboards on Baboosic Lake on Christmas Eve.

LOL. Great list! No campaign buttons on my tree but I kind of look forward to the cars trimmed in lights. And I spray paint my snowshoes gold so that they match my outfit.

Apple,
Hahahahah on the snowshoes... love it! But then I grew up in the "big city" of Manchester where were didn't need snowshoes. I did have a pair though, my Dad insisted I might need them some day lol. J Re: You Know You Are Having a New Hampshire Christmas When. . .

Amy,
I went and saw the campaign button collection at the New Hampshire Museum of History, and thought at the time how great they'd look on a tree :D Thanks for the nice link over at your site. J Re: You Know You Are Having a New Hampshire Christmas When. . .
