A couple of weeks ago my husband and I enjoyed a brief vacation. That week we played the tourist, going places where we'd never been, even though we'd driven by many times.
First--although I'd taken several boat trips out of Portsmouth, New Hampshire to the Isles of Shoals, I had never taken the "Great Bay" tour that we took this time. The ride and the crew were exceptional. The tour guide really knows his New Hampshire history. The leaves on the trees were still mostly green. Exactly 7 days after this trip the foliage peaked.
Second--Although born and bred in New Hampshire, I'd been to the New Hampshire state house in Concord several times, but I'd never taken the "self guided tour" inside.

PS: Due to concerns regarding the web site providing space for my vacation photographs, I have unlinked them.

Thanks for sharing your trip, Janice! I love travel photos. Being pretty much a homebody I travel vicariously through others. This was my first visit to N.H. :-)

Jasia,
You are welcome! I love travel photos also. Actually photos people have posted in the Internet have ended up enticing me to actually visit the place in the photographs. Everyone should visit NH at least once... you won't ever forget it, and I promise the locals will make you feel welcome. Janice Re: A New Hampshire Vacation Album

Thanks Terry! I actually took fewer photographs on my trip than I thought I would (I went prepared with MANY mini-CDs for my camera and only used 1). I spent more of my time talking with family and friends than snapping their photos.

fM,
Thank you for your kind comments. I've added a closeup of the Daniel Webster statue. Janice Trackbacks
